Early Childhood Investment Corporation Grant Coordinator

Length of Position:    6 months start up

                                    6 months planning

                                    12 months implementation

Type of Position:       Contracted—Administrative

Responsible to:           Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD Superintendent

Desired Qualifications:         

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Health Care Services, Community/Economic Development or related fields.

·         Minimum five years employment experience working in early childhood care, health services, community and/or economic development or related area(s).

·         Demonstrate leadership ability and cultural sensitivity.

·         Able to cultivate relationships between diverse populations and multiple organizations of all types in the community.

·         In depth knowledge of existing early childhood programs and related services in the community.

·         Knowledge of financing relative to early childhood services.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·         Exceptional organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.

·         Demonstrated experience in media relations, communications, marketing, and community outreach.

·         Experience in strategic planning, data integration and analysis, and community needs assessment.

·         Successful background in grant writing, resource and fund development.

·         Knowledge of local services, programs, and initiatives.
