21 Things for the 21st Century Educator
The purpose of this project is to provide training through an online interface for K-12 educators based on the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T). These standards are the basic technology skills every educator should possess. In the process, educators will develop their own skills and discover what students need in order to meet the NETS for Students, as well as the new MMC Online Experience requirement.
Mandatory Face to Face Meeting: Monday, June 28, 2010, 9:00a.m.-12:30p.m. This meeting will cover the logistics and Module #1.
A 10 Week On-line Course open to educators from Copper Country ISD and Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD
21 independent modules will be covered online during the course.
To meet online the educator can connect to the Internet from any computer.

75 paid to Copper Country ISD, includes 9.0 SB-CEUs orMichigan Tech University Credit: 3 Graduate Credits- Graded - $750 paid to Michigan Tech. Includes registration fee.Credit is available to participants that fulfill the 21 independent modules. – No refunds available to those that drop the course. Fees are due by July 5, 2010 to Loret Roberts, CCISD. Educators will be required to watch/attend every online meeting and do a 3-4 hour long assignment on each module. There will be two approximately one hour meetings per week.
