Automotive Technology I
Teaches general service, maintenance, diagnosing, upkeep and repair. Auto I will cover engine fundamentals, tune-up and ignition, cooling, lubrication, fuel systems, computer controls, diagnosing and troubleshooting. Automotive Electrical/Electronic Systems will be covered in great detail. Students will have the opportunity to complete a NATEF certified automotive electronics program.
Automotive Technology II
Prerequisite: Automotive Technology I
Automotive Technology II covers detailed information on drivability and engine performance with extensive use of the engine analyzer and scanner. Computer and emission controls will also be covered in detail. Automotive brake systems will be covered in great detail. Students will have the opportunity to complete a NATEF certified automotive brakes program.
