Our Teacher Cadets, part of the CTE Education Academy, recently stepped into real-world roles while assisting with the Regional Spelling Bee at the Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District in Bergland.
From the moment 5th–8th grade students walked through the doors, our Cadets were leading. They welcomed participants, organized name tags and seating, served as word judges, and helped distribute awards at the end of the event.
Experiences like this are exactly what Career & Technical Education is all about: building confidence, professionalism, and practical skills that translate directly into the classroom one day.
We’re proud of how these future educators represented their districts—with poise, responsibility, and a whole lot of heart. The next generation of teachers is already stepping up.
