Big things are happening in our CTE Food Systems and Natural Resources program!
Our students traveled to Alpena, MI to compete in the Region VI FFA Leadership Contests—and they represented us extremely well.
Ayden Rau (Bessemer Area Schools) earned 2nd Place in Extemporaneous Public Speaking with a GOLD rating and will be advancing to the State Leadership Contests at the National FFA Organization State Convention next month. That’s no small accomplishment—extemporaneous speaking is difficult. You draw a topic, prep on the fly, and deliver a speech.
Olivia Lockhart and Violet Amos (Ontonagon Area School District) earned 4th Place in Demonstration with a SILVER rating, showcasing both skill and confidence in front of judges and peers.
Competing at this level takes preparation, poise, and a whole lot of courage. We are proud of the leadership, professionalism, and dedication these students continue to demonstrate.
Let’s wish Ayden the best as he heads to the state stage next month! ![]()
